"An angle is the space between two intersecting lines at, or close, to the point where they meet." That's why the fundamental angles that make up not only Ashtanga’s fundamental postures - but the basic postures of nearly every other yoga practice - are so important! Because each of the angled postures create in the body, intersecting lines that, when followed, will lead you deep into the pelvis where the magical, yet elusive, bandhas reside. Poses we will research and study include versions of (Trikonasana) Triangle, (Utthita Parsvakonasana) Side Angle, (Prasarita Padottanasana A-D) standing wide-angled forward folds, (Parsvottanasana) pyramid pose, and perhaps a few others as relevant and/or necessary. This workshop is great for teachers (some hands-on adjustments will be taught) and students of all yoga disciplines. And best of all, you won’t need a compass or even a protractor!
Class time devoted to lecture: 11-20 minutes
