Despite the seemingly new trend, aromatherapy has been a subject of benefit and interest for thousands of years. Essential oils are often referred to as alternative medicine, but the truth is, they are the original. They've been used as medicine since pre-biblical times, as well as in cosmetics, rituals & religious ceremonies, and in the making of perfumes. In this class, we will journey through a brief history of essential oil usage and discuss the science behind how essential oils interact with the brain and body when used aromatically, topically, and internally. We will cover the basics of essential oil knowledge at the start of the class. Open to all levels. Taught by Ashley Daige, Certified Aromatherapist.
